Golden State Warriors Player Kevon Looney Says He Got “Addicted” To Jiu-Jitsu

It’s not unheard of for boxers to mix up their training with some jiu-jitsu, but you may not expect a professional basketball player to spend a significant amount of time on the mats. According to an article in the San Francisco Chronicle, though, that’s exactly what Golden State Warriors player Kevon Looney does.

The article, which centers around Looney’s passion for jiu-jitsu, emphasizes that Looney is a big UFC fan and got into BJJ to mix up his workouts. After he started, Looney claims that he became “addicted” to jiu-jitsu and says that he doesn’t think he’d be feeling as great on the court without it.

Looney also says that he switches up his workouts between running on the track and training at Beverly Hills Jiu-Jitsu Club. However, because he doesn’t want to risk being too tired for his basketball games, he sticks to rolling in the offseason.
