Goiti Yamauchi Secures Submission Win Over Daron Cruickshank at Bellator 237

It’s officially a winning streak. Rising lightweight Goiti Yamauchi logged his third consecutive victory by submission on December 28, tapping out Daron Cruickshank in Bellator 237’s night of fights in Saitama, Japan.

The RNC win came in the first round after Yamauchi pinned Cruickshank to the cage and took his back. A brief handfight and it was a done deal for 26-year-old Yamauchi–no small accomplishment, given Cruickshank’s significant grappling background.

Yamauchi previously submitted Saad Awad by armbar at Bellator 229, and defeated Daniel Weichel back in 2018. His last loss was nearly two years ago, to Michael Chandler.
