One of the main Brazilian MMA events, Shooto Brazil will see its 23rd installment this Saturday, and there are promising matchups a-plenty on tap. Bearing the credentials of the event that launched UFC champion José Aldo and biggest exporter of Brazilian domestic talent abroad, Shooto Brazil again sets up shop at Hebraica Club, in the Laranjeiras borough of Rio de Janeiro.
Featuring in the lineup are proven names like Giovanni Diniz, Paulo Guerreiro and former UFC fighter Antônio “Samuray”, among others. The evening’s main event boasts the highest-caliber light heavyweight in activity in the South American nation, with Glover Teixeira squaring off with Simão Melo in an under-93kg showdown.
The event is set to begin at 6pm and tickets on sale at the door include an all-you-can-eat buffet.
