Third Coast Grappling has sought to bring jiu-jitsu’s best to Texas, and so far, they’re doing an impressive job of it.
The promotion’s second big card has already been revealed to feature Craig Jones vs. Josh Hinger and Mike Perez vs. Jackson Sousa, and earlier today, promoter Ryan McGuire announced yet another exciting matchup for the card.
Burns is an IBJJF World Champion in both gi and no-gi. He also fights for the UFC and has an MMA record of 14-3. Barral has an extensive list of accomplishments in jiu-jitsu, including an ADCC championship and five world championships.
McGuire had this to say about the matchup:
“As students of Professor Draculino, we had this match on our wish list of ones we really wanted to make. Professor Romulo is an icon and with the #everydayporrada movement, he has transcended the sport in terms of popularity. Gilbert Burns is a UFC vet and a grappling legend. The combination of these two guys’ styles and name value makes this a must-see event.”
You can watch Burns vs. Barral, plus many other exciting matches at Third Coast Grappling live on FloGrappling or in person June 29th.
