An old-school-vs.-new-school match that was supposed to happen at the upcoming Submission Underground 10 has experienced a shakeup after would-be competitor Dean Lister had to pull out due to injury.
Now, UFC fighter and IBJJF World Champion Gilbert Burns has stepped in to take Lister’s place against double Polaris champion Craig Jones. Jones himself shared the news on social media and called Burns “the most active man in combat sports.”
The match between Jones and Burns will be the last match before the main event, which will see Gordon Ryan (who just won an exciting match against wrestler Bo Nickal at 3rd Coast Grappling III) face off against Gabriel Gonzaga.
Submission Underground 10 will air live and exclusively on UFC Fight Pass on December 22.
