A while back, former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre was the victim of some heckling when a video still showed up of him sporting what looked like a bit of a gut.
St-Pierre reacted to the still recently on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani.
“I don’t know,” GSP told Helwani over the phone. “I saw that picture and I’m like, ‘It’s disgusting! Oh my God.’ And people were asking me, ‘Did you take this picture on purpose?’ and I’m like, ‘Man, I have no idea when this picture came out. It’s terrible. This is really bad. I have no idea.’ I must have been inhaling or whatever, but it looked terrible. Maybe the light made it look bad. I have no idea. It’s crazy. It’s really crazy.”
Though not the most flattering picture of St-Pierre, he didn’t seem too bothered by it. In fact, he and Helwani both had a laugh over it.
The recently re-signed Georges St-Pierre was originally supposed to face reigning UFC Middleweight Champion “The Count” Michael Bisping for the division’s strap. However, he was later dropped to the card.
He may make his return to welterweight.
