Garry Tonon was scheduled to face Koyomi Matsushima on November 20, but given that you didn’t see the internet abuzz with the fight results, you probably (correctly) assumed that the fight had been moved.
Now, Tonon and Matsushima will now be facing off on December 4 at ONE Championship’s “Big Bang” event. Better yet, their fight sits high up on the card, taking place right before the main event.
Tonon has chronicled the steps in making the trip from the United States to Singapore, which included taking a COVID-19 test 72 hours prior to departure. With everything apparently all clear, he’s now en route to his destination.
Tonon is currently 5-0 in his professional MMA career and will be going up against the 12-4 Matsushima. Both fighters finished their most recent bouts (and in fact, Tonon has finished all of his fights before time ran out), and the winner of this fight will likely get the opportunity to fight for the featherweight title.
ONE Championship: Big Bang will take place on Friday, December 4 in Singapore.
