The highly anticipated co-main event of Fight 2 Win 145 didn’t disappoint, with four-time no-gi world champion Osvaldo “Queixinho” Moizinho taking the stage against multiple-time EBI champion Garry Tonon in what turned out to be a battle of guard retention vs. leg locks.
Queixnho pulled guard, and Tonon initially worked to pass guard, but soon transitioned into an ankle lock attempt. Queixinho managed to escape the submission attempt, and Tonon continued to work his passing attempts. Tonon attempted another leg lock, but Queixinho literally laughed it off, and Tonon abandoned the attempt. Queixinho’s safety was short-lived, however, and Tonon soon transitioned into an inside heel hook, quickly tapping out his opponent.
Tonon was declared the victory by submission.
