Yesterday, Garry Tonon’s coach John Danaher announced that Garry will be making his MMA debut in late March.
Danaher made the announcement on The Joe Rogan Experience.
Tonon, however, put up a post on social media less than an hour before the time of this writing saying that he does not know when he will be fighting. He said his debut is “still in the negotiation phase,” and there is “no date nor opponent yet.”
Garry Tonon recently signed with the Asian MMA organization ONE Championship. He took in the promotion’s first ever grappling match last year — defeating former Lightweight Champion Shinya Aoki — but has not fought in an MMA match yet.
If Tonon does fight in March, he will be fighting at ONE Championship’s “Iron Will,” which is set to go down in Bangkok, Thailand.

Just so we're all aware my @ONEChampionship debut is still in negotiation phase and no date nor opponent set yet. You'll know it's official when One announces it.
