Gabriel Arges Choked out Marcos Tinoco at the 2017 World Jiu-Jitsu IBJJF Championship.
Most of the fight was spent with Arges’ leg in Tinoco’s leg triangle as Marcos tried to score a kneebar. He had it locked in tight more than once, but Arges was always able to turn his knee and avoid tapping.
Arges was up 4-2 close to the end of the round, and when he took Tinoco’s back, he scored and extra four points. From there, he was able to get his hands into Marcos’ gi and finish the fight via a collar choke from behind.
