Alliance Jiu-Jitsu black belt and guest coach on The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3, Gabi Garcia made her debut today in mixed martial arts, and she made it in style.
Garcia fought American professional wrestler, Seini Draughn (better known as Lei’D Tapa) at Rizin Fighting Federation 2.
The event took place at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
It only took one round for the BJJ gold medalist to finish Tapa. Though Draughn downed her early in the round, Garcia bounced back quickly, chasing Tapa and knocking her down at 2:36.
Lei’D tried to get back to her feet, but the Brazilian wrestled her back down to the canvas and finished her ten seconds later via ground and pound.
No news yet on if or when Gabi will be making her second appearance in mixed martial arts.
