The fourth meeting between rivals Gordon Ryan and Felipe Pena, and the second under the WNO banner, is set for Saturday, February 25. Joining that no-time-limit main event will be a previously-announced light heavyweight affair between reigning WNO light heavyweight champion Pedro Marinho and 2022 ADCC champion Giancarlo Bodoni.
Now, FloGrappling has released the remainder of the event’s main card.
Two-time ADCC champion JT Torres will take on 2022 ADCC invitee Magid Hage. Torres has competed infrequently since winning his second ADCC gold medal in 2019. At the 2022 ADCC World Championships, he suffered a points defeat in the quarterfinals to PJ Barch.
Hage earned his spot at the 2022 ADCC World Championships following strong showings at multiple Trials events. He would lose by submission in the opening round to eventual bronze medalist Dante Leon.
Also, IBJJF no-gi Worlds silver medalist Jasmine Rocha will face top Atos prospect Amanda Bruse in a rematch of their ADCC Trials match in which Rocha walked away the winner.
Additionally, 2022 IBJJF no-gi world champion Jonnatas Gracie will square off with New Wave’s Oliver Taza. One of Atos’ top competitors, Gracie has been a fixture of the IBJJF scene for years, while Taza has been a frequent competitor on no-gi submission-only shows like WNO and Fight 2 Win.
Finally, Kieran Kichuk and Rene Sousa will battle in a matchup of submission hunters. An expert in the false reap, Kichuk is one of the sport’s most dangerous leg lockers. Sousa, meanwhile, is a top 10th Planet competitor known for his buggy choke.
