Igor Araujo, head of Gracie Barra Switzerland, in Geneva, is one of our GMA associates in that country.
He is a black belt since 2005, when he was promoted by his master Aldo “Caveirinha” Januario in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Soon thereafter Igor decided to leave Brazil in search of new career opportunities, but unlike many Jiu-Jitsu practioners, he decided to go to Europe instead of the USA.
On the old continent Igor stopped by Germany and Holland before settling in Geneva, Switzerland, in 2006.
In Geneva Igor was able to devote himself to two of his passions: competing in MMA and teaching and practicing Jiu-Jitsu.
Four years later the school is a success and he holds a 18W-5L record and is riding a seven-fight unbeaten streak.
