Former UFC fighter Jason “Mayhem” Miller added multiple felony charges to his extensive criminal record on Tuesday.
According to NBC Los Angeles, Miller was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary, unlawful taking of a vehicle, and grand theft auto, each of which carries a felony count. Miller, who pleaded not guilty to the charges and reportedly knows the alleged victim, is already on probation for a separate domestic violence case. He’s currently being held without bail until his September 2 hearing.
The arrest is the latest in a long string of run-ins with the law for Miller, who was most recently arrested in 2019 for felony vandalism and misdemeanor violation of a protective stay-away order when he destroyed a marble table, derailed a garage door, and removed and punched holes in other doors in his girlfriend’s home. He received a year-long jail sentence and three years of probation. The woman was the same one Miller beat in 2017, for which he received 124 days in jail. He was also accused of beating up a different former girlfriend earlier that year, but was acquitted.
In 2018, a probation officer’s report showed him to be in possession of a bulletproof vest, and a number of weapons that included nunchucks, a machete, and a samurai sword, among others. The probation officer had called his behavior on probation “disappointing,” and Miller also dropped out of a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program and tested positive for various opioids, PEDs, and human growth hormone that he’d gotten without a prescription. Miller also got in trouble with the law in 2015 and 2016 for assaulting and threatening police officers.
Miller’s last professional MMA fight took place in 2016 and marked his third consecutive loss.
