Felipe “Preguica” Pena has dubbed the Marianas as his event, and with good reason. The multiple time IBJJF and UAEJJF Champion can add two-time Marianas champion to his list of accomplishments.
Pena took on fellow IBJJF Champion Isaque Bahiense at the 2017 Marianas in Guam. Behiense took Felipe down immediately with a double leg. Little did Isaque know, however, that he was only playing into Preguica’s trap.
Felipe held on, tightening a brabo choke around Bahiense’s neck. It only took him 53 seconds to finish the job.
After having his arm raised, Pena was greeted by a former president of Guam, who presented him with one of the nation’s traditional necklaces.
We here at the Jiu-Jitsu Times want to congratulate Felipe “Preguica” Pena on another spectacular performance!
