Familiar with Anderson Silva’s next challenger in the UFC yet?

Dana White already made the announcement at UFC 148: if all goes as expected, a Cuban will be the next challenger to Anderson Silva’s middleweight belt.

Abandoning his post as champion of the Bellator MMA promotion, Hector Lombard, 34, is a stalwart judo and Jiu-Jitsu black belt with what it takes to take on Silva. Twenty-five fights unbeaten, this July 21, at UFC 149, he’ll be taking on the game Tim Boetsch. If he wins, he looks all set to take the Spider on for the belt.

Besides, Lombard, Rashad Evans too has stated his intent to test his mettle against Anderson. The former light-heavyweight champion is hoping for Anderson to move up a weight class to fight, though.

Speaking solely of middleweights, Hector and Anderson are both undefeated since 2006, with one difference—the opponents the Brazilian has faced.
