F2W 173: Miyao Brothers, Kendall Reusing, & More To Compete In Dallas On Friday

Fight 2 Win is back in Dallas on Friday after a great showing by Devhonte Johnson and Yuri Simoes in last week’s F2W 172, and they’ve put together an impressive lineup for F2W 173.

This week’s card will see Paulo Miyao face off against Lucas Pinheiro in a star-studded main event. Miyao is a multiple-time IBJJF World and Pans champion who collected his second ADCC bronze medal back in 2019. His most recent competitive endeavor saw him take home gold in the light featherweight division at No-Gi Pans earlier this year.

Pinheiro is a fellow Pans champion, having earned the honor in both gi and no-gi in 2020. He most recently took on Mikey Musumeci at Who’s Number One: Jones vs. Panza. While this will be his first time facing Paulo, he has faced the other Miyao brother, Joao, multiple times in his black belt career, most recently defeating him at F2W 128. On Friday, we’ll see if he’ll be able to take home a F2W victory against Paulo as well.

The co-main event of the evening will feature a match between Kendall Reusing and Talita Nogueira. Reusing, who won double gold at Worlds in 2019, also took home first place in the super heavyweight division at No-Gi Pans earlier this year. Reusing is a regular at F2W and challenged Nathiely de Jesus for the middleweight no-gi title back in March. Nogueira, who won Worlds in 2011, is also a familiar face on the Fight 2 Win stage. Back in March, she took on Jessica Flowers in the co-main event of F2W 159. This won’t be the first time Nogueira and Reusing have faced each other, either — the two met at the SJJF Worlds in 2019 and then again at Pans in 2020, with Reusing winning both matches. Will Reusing claim victory again, or will Nogueira avenge her losses?

Finally, in another big match on the main card, Joao Miyao will once again take to the stage, this time to test himself against Pedro Dias. This, too, will be a rematch — Miyao, a four-time No-Gi World Champion, previously defeated Dias at the 2019 London Grand Slam. Dias will be hoping to make an impressive appearance in his F2W debut by getting a win against the impressive Joao Miyao.

These matches and many more will be streaming live throughout the evening, so whether you can attend in person or will be watching from home, make sure you’re available to check out this exciting event for yourself!

F2W 173 will take place Friday, June 11, and can be streamed live only on FloGrappling.
