Evolve MMA appoints former UFC fighter Brian Ebersole as Head Coach of Evolve Fight Team

11 April 2017 – EVOLVE Mixed Martial Arts, Asia’s top martial arts organization, today announced the appointment of retired UFC fighter Brian Ebersole as the new Head Coach of the prestigious EVOLVE Fight Team, the #1 ranked professional fight team in Asia.

“The coaching role at EVOLVE MMA is truly a unique experience,” Ebersole expressed. “I can’t think of another role quite like it anywhere in the world. I’m honored to have even been considered, and am ecstatic to have been offered this position as Head Coach. I look forward to sharing the knowledge of my 16-year MMA career with the talented athletes at EVOLVE MMA. I also get to continue my own studies as a martial artist, as EVOLVE MMA has the largest number of World Champions than any other academy in the world. I’m looking forward to this transition into full-time coaching.”

The 36-year-old American will lead and oversee training for EVOLVE’s professional MMA fighters competing in the elite global promotions, like ONE Championship, Ultimate Fighting Championship, and others. He will be assisted by the award-winning EVOLVE Instructor Team, with over 50 World Champions spanning all martial arts disciplines – Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Wrestling, Submission Grappling and MMA. They include Muay Thai Legends Petchboonchu FA Group, Sam-A Gaiyanghadao and Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, multiple-time Muay Thai World Champions Orono Wor Petchpun, Sagetdao Petpayathai and Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke, WBA Boxing World Champion Yodsanan Sityodtong, BJJ World Champions Leandro “Brodinho” Issa and Teco Shinzato, No-Gi World Champion Bruno Pucci, and many more.

Having competed in 71 professional fights between 2000 and 2016, Ebersole himself boasts a wealth of experience. He has amassed 51 career wins overall, and left UFC with a 5-3 win-loss record.

EVOLVE MMA General Manager Wesley De Souza said:

“We are truly happy to welcome Brian Ebersole as the new Head Coach of the EVOLVE Fight Team. With his experience, both as a coach and a professional fighter, Brian is precisely what we were looking for to continue the growth and success of our team. We are confident that he will bring them to their next phase of growth”

As Head Coach, Ebersole will also be responsible for recruiting new athletes for the EVOLVE Fight Team roster. These new members will join some of the best MMA athletes in the world today, such as reigning ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion Angela Lee, ONE Welterweight World Champion Ben Askren, ONE Light Heavyweight World Champion Roger Gracie, former UFC Lightweight World Champion Rafael Dos Anjos, former ONE Lightweight World Champion Shinya Aoki, as well as rising ONE Superstars Alex Silva, Amir Khan, Christian Lee, Benedict Ang, and numerous others.
