Espen Mathiesen’s swift choke at the Zurich Open

Espen sinks the choke for gold.

A lightweight who is qualified and signed up for the IBJJF Worlds, Norway’s Espen Mathiesen last Saturday fought in his final tournament before traveling to California. The Zurich Open found in Espen its lightweight champion.

To get to the title, the athlete from Kimura Norway had to use his elastic guard against Nicolas Penzer. After tangling up his opponent with his legs, Espen placed himself dangerously on the bottom, arrived on the back, and adjusted the choke until the win was his. You can check out the fight here:
