The BH Open was held July 8 and 9 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, featuring a wide range of contests. Erberth Santos (Almeida JJ) and Tayane Porfírio (Alliance) won absolute gold in the gi. Erberth won his final against heavyweight winner Dimitrius Souza. Super-heavyweight Tayane won her absolute gold against Fernanda Mazzelli.
