Fight 2 Win returns to Steel City this weekend, and the promotion has stacked the card with both local talent and athletes who have established themselves as some of the best in the sport.
Returning to the promotion for the first time since 2017 is former Pans champion Edwin Najmi. The FIVE Super League gold medalist will be competing in the main event of the evening, coming off a win against Gianni Grippo in June’s Third Coast Grappling 2 event. Najmi’s first and only appearance on the F2W stage resulted in a win against Nathan Mendelsohn at F2W 24, and his fans will be excited to see if he can once again emerge victorious nearly a hundred F2W events later.
The co-main event of the evening will see Catherine Perret facing off against Amanda “Tubby” Alequin for the no-gi bantamweight title. Perret’s most recent F2W appearance (also a title match) led to her defeating Ffion Davies. Alequin is a familiar face on the stage, and the brown belt World Champion won’t make it easy for Perret to retain her title.
Pittsburgh’s high level of wrestling talent is sure to shine throughout the night as well, so be on the lookout for fast-paced, dynamic matches taking place over the course of the event.
