Dustin Poirier Has Been Promoted To BJJ Black Belt

UFC Lightweight Dustin Poirier has been promoted to BJJ black belt.

A photo of his promotion was posted on Instagram by his wife.  According to her, Dustin has been training for ten years.

Dustin received his black belt at Gladiator Academy. To Poirier’s right is Gladiator Academy owner and third-degree BJJ black belt “Crazy” Tim Credeur.

Dustin Poirier is currently ranked #8 in the UFC’s lightweight division. He has taken on such top contenders as former UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez and reigning Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.

He recently stopped another lightweight champion, Anthony Pettis, at his last fight at UFC Fight Night 120 last month in Norfolk.  He won via TKO.

We here at the Jiu-Jitsu Times would like to congratulate Dustin Poirier on his huge accomplishment!
