Dillon Danis: The Only Thing That’s Changed Is Garry Tonon Has Become More Of A B*tch

Dillon Danis lost to Garry Tonon in their previous meeting, and he hasn’t forgotten about it.

In a recent interview with Polaris, Dillion admitted that a day hasn’t gone by where he doesn’t think about that loss. However, even though he respects Garry and all of Renzo Gracie Academy — whom he has repeatedly insulted — he still thinks the only thing that has changed is Tonon has become more of a b*tch.

That fight was what it was, you know. I took it pretty hard, so I’ve been thinking about that match ever since. There hasn’t been a day that’s gone by that I haven’t thought about that match. I had dreams about that match, and I know what it’s going to take to come back and avenge my loss. I mean, the only thing that’s changed is he [Garry] became more of a b*tch, and that’s the only thing that’s really changed, you know? I mean, I’m a different animal than I was then. I was still an animal back then, but now with him, I’m going to f**k him up really bad.

Dillion continued:

I’m not bothered by him. He’s a one-trick pony. I mean, you what I mean, their whole team are one trick ponies, and stuff. I mean, I respect them, though, because they go out there, they fight, they talk sh*t, and they back it up, you know, so I can see where they’re coming from. I do respect them, but at the end of the day this is just business, but I’m going to kick his [Garry’s] ***.

Interestingly, Garry — who usually loves trash-talking and has not been silent about his less-than-favorable opinions of Dillon — was surprisingly silent on his upcoming opponent. Instead, Tonon preferred to talk about his stand-up training and his eventual transition to MMA.

Polaris 5 will go down live on August 19. You can watch all of the action live on UFC Fight Pass.
