“The Black Beast” Derrick Lewis’ brutal win over Travis Browne at last night’s UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Browne not only marks his sixth consecutive win, but his fifth win in the past two years that has come by way of knockout. Lewis is currently riding the longest active win streak in the UFC heavyweight division.
Fighters typically show respect to each other after the match is over. Even Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen shook hands after their heated rivalry.
Lewis, however, had nothing good to say about his opponent. In fact, he even brought up Browne’s personal life.
“I just knew I had a bigger heart than him,” Derrick told color commentator and former UFC fighter Brian Stann. “He call himself a man, but he likes to put his hands on women. So, forget that guy. I got much more heart than he has.”
And if that weren’t enough, Lewis made a rather off-color comment at Browne’s girlfriend, former UFC Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey.
“Where’s Ronda Rousey’s fine *** at?” he asked.
