UFC middleweight fighter Derek Brunson has earned his Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt from Renzo Gracie and has stated that we’ll be seeing him compete in both gi and no-gi at some point in the future.

Brunson, who also earned his brown belt from Gracie in September 2019, began training BJJ in 2009. He also has an impressive wrestling background, being a three-time Division II All-American wrestler during his time at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
In the UFC, Brunson is currently riding a four-fight winning streak, which is capped off by his main-event victory against Kevin Holland last month.
