The purses paid out to the fighters on the card for the final UFC event of the year have been released by the promoters. Neither Luis Beição and Matt Riddle—a match-up dropped from the card due to Riddle falling ill—were left without their keep, although their purses were not mentioned in the report. The biggest earner was Brock Lesnar, who entered retirement after falling at the hands of Alistair Overeem. Taking home extra money for putting in the best performances of the event: Nate Diaz and Donald Cerrrone earned an extra 75 K each for the “Fight of the Night”, Johny Hendricks earned the same sum for “Knockout of the Night”, while nobody got the prize for best submission because none surfaced.
