Originally set for November, the Jiu-Jitsu Grand Slam has now been put back till next year. The main attraction, the supermatch between Ricardo De La Riva and Jean Jacques Machado, had to be postponed because of some red tape. The event will still be held at the Maracanãzinho gymnasium, though.
The inaugural Grand Slam will be held in Rio de Janeiro and feature Gi Jiu-Jitsu supermatches between aces of the past and present. Payouts are said to total 200,000 reais for the competitors.
