Canadian grappling standout Dante Leon and Gracie Barra star Gabriel Arges will be going head-to-head in an explosive no-gi match tomorrow, and it’ll all take place on the Fight 2 Win stage.
Leon and Arges will be headlining F2W 123 in Sacramento, CA. Arges, a multiple-time World Champion, last competed on the stage at F2W 112, where he won his match against Matheus Diniz by referee decision. Leon is on his way to becoming somewhat a regular at F2W events, currently boasting a 2-1 record for the promotion. Their match will be the third time they’ve faced off against each other as black belts, with Arges having defeated Leon via points at Worlds both this and last year.
Leon vs. Arges will follow a co-main event that will really get the crowd riled up: a match between local stars Cassio Werneck and Angel “Halo” Lopez, which will be for the masters welterweight gi title. Their fight will follow another title match, this time between Samir Chantre and Jose Carlos Lima. Lima had a major victory in 2018 when he won the UAEJJF World Pro, but even he will have his hands full against Chantre, who’s won both No-Gi Worlds and No-Gi Pans multiple times.
