Dana calls on “Bad Boy” to face Rashad

After much speculation, Tito Ortiz stepped in to replace Phil Davis against Rashad Evans at UFC 133 on August 6 in Philadelphia.

Davis suffered a knee injury and had to drop off the card. Lyoto Machida turned down the challenge, alleging to not have enough time to prepare properly. Tito had refused too but Dana White, the president of the UFC, confirmed the “Bad Boy of Huntington Beach” will indeed be fighting.

Tito will see action a little over a month since his last fight, when he submitted Ryan Bader with a guillotine in less than two minutes.

This is the second time the two face off. On their first encounter, back in 2007 (UFC 73), the fight ended in a draw.
