The highly anticipated East Coast ADCC Trials finally happened yesterday, with competitors like Marvin Castelle, Jon Calestine, PJ Barch, and many more vying for a spot in what is sometimes called the “Olympics of jiu-jitsu.” There were some surprising upsets and some expected outcomes, but in the end, these were the athletes who qualified for one of the most prestigious tournaments in our sport:
66 kg – Ethan Crelinsten (Renzo Gracie/ Tristar)
77 kg – Jonathan Satava (Alliance Marcelo Garcia)
88 kg – Alec Baulding (Alliance)
99 kg – Tim Spriggs (Lloyd Irvin)
+99 kg – Aaron “Tex” Johnson (Unity Jiu-Jitsu)
