The next installment of FloGrappling’s Who’s Number One is coming back to Austin, Texas at the end of February, and Flo has just released the main event in their lineup of superfights for the event.
ADCC silver medalist Craig Jones will be taking on 2020 Pans champion Ronaldo Junior in a 195-lb no-gi catchweight match. The bout will take place under WNO rules and have a duration of fifteen minutes, as will the other matches on the card.
Jones, a two-division Polaris champion, is now an established submission grappling superstar. He managed to have a fairly busy 2020, competing in eight Submission Underground events and getting a heel hook win over Roberto Jimenez at WNO 4.
Even against an opponent like Jones, though, Junior shouldn’t be underestimated. His own WNO appearance saw him lose a referee decision against the dominant Vagner Rocha, but he’s since been busy making his way to the top of the podium at big events like Pans, No-Gi Pans, and American Nationals.
This main event is a big match that will help get the momentum started for another exciting grappling event that we can look forward to this year.
WNO will take place on Friday, February 26 and can be streamed live on FloGrappling.
