Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone has his next fight lined up, and we can expect some serious fireworks when the two collide.
Dana White has confirmed to Yahoo Sports that Cerrone will be facing Justin Gaethje in the main event at UFC Fight Night in Vancouver, BC. It will be Cerrone’s first fight since losing to Tony Ferguson via TKO after Cerrone blew his nose and caused his eye to swell up, causing a medical stoppage of the fight. He currently leads the UFC in number of wins.
Gaethje boasts a 20-2 MMA record, with both of his losses taking place in the UFC Octagon. However, while he may not have as many UFC fights on his resume as his opponent, he’s proven himself to be an exciting fighter, earning post-fight bonuses in every UFC fight he’s competed in. His last fight ended in a first-round knockout of Edson Barboza in March, so fight fans will be eager to see what he can do against Cerrone.
UFC Fight Night Vancouver will take place on September 14 of this year.
