Conor McGregor Returns to Ring in Dublin Boxing Match

Former UFC champion Conor McGregor took a break from his legal woes and conflicting feels about retirement to give back to the community last night, stepping into the ring for the first time since his shattering defeat by Khabib Nurmagomedov in late 2018. The ring was part of a charity boxing match meant to raise money for the gym which gave the world the “notorious” fighter, Crumlin Boxing Club in Dublin.

McGregor squared off against fellow Irishman, working electrician, and amateur boxer Michael McGrane, who also trains at Crumlin. The “fight” was reportedly three rounds and declared a draw, part of an annual Good Friday fundraising effort by the gym.

McGrane doesn’t exactly embarrass himself, but he does get to experience McGregor’s left hand live and in person:

McGregor also took time to work with kids and amateurs at the club earlier that week:

Still no word when, or if, McGregor will be turning to a more formal ring any time in the future.
