Claudia do Val. Arena Jiu-Jitsu
After winning medium heavyweight gold at the IBJJF Worlds, Claudia do Val just wanted a refreshing dose of some more hard work, of course.
Looking to score points for the 2018/2019 rankings, the member of De La Riva team entered the Spanish National, held last weekend in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Claudia went unopposed in the super-heavyweight division, but Charlotte von Baumgarten (Alliance) stood between her and the gold medal in the absolute.
Known for her dangerous game from the bottom, Claudia took on Charlotte’s guard, opened it to pass, took the back, and then used a bow-and-arrow choke with great precision. Watch it here:
