The Chinese word “過勞死 ” (“guolaosi”, i.e., “death by overwork”) should tell you something about the work ethic in China — this is a culture that believes in hard work, even if death is a result.
However, after years of health issues due to work-related stress, some people are looking to the seventeenth century art of Chinese wrestling to help relieve their stress.
They’re not doing it behind closed doors, either. Some people in Tianjin are wrestling out in the streets in order to improve their mental and physical well-being.
