The Massachusetts BJJ Federation held the 2014 Caxcudo New England Gi Open Tournament on March 9 in Milford, MA. It was the first annual tournament of its kind!
The action was captured at Milford High School with 130 competitors from 26 different schools. There were divisions for kids, teens, adults, masters, male and female.
Carlos Terrinha of the MASSBJJF says, “We would like to say thank you to everyone that participated, working, helping or watching in the Caxcudo New England Gi Open 2014. Does not matter what you did, you are already a part of this championship’s history.”
The overall team trophy went to Gracie Barra New England with 11 gold medals. Icon/Aldo BJJ followed in second place with 8 gold medals and Daniel Gracie took third with 7 gold medals.
White belts, purple belts and white belts added into the division to determine the best absolute winner.

White Belt Absolute
1- Sanderson Fragoso – Icon/Aldo bJJ
2- Michael Scott – Daniel Gracie
3- Sean Roman – Gracie Barra NE
All that were around were happy with the tournament organization and excited for the next edition.
