At the TUF Finale 15 this Friday in Vegas, Mike Chiesa was crowned champion of the 15th season of The Ultimate Fighter reality show, while Charles do Bronx came up with a tapout and Martin Kampmann won the main event of the evening.
At the outset of his fight with Al Iaquinta, Mike Chiesa showed his power to absorb punishment, taking strikes in the early action. Still he managed to make it to Iaquinta’s back and sink a snug rear-naked choke for the finish at 2:42 minutes of the second round.
In the main event, Martin Kampmann put an end to Jake Ellenberger’s six-fight win streak, kneeing his way to a knockout win in the second round.
Another reality show participant, Cristiano Marcello failed to use his bread-and-butter Jiu-Jitsu, instead standing and trading with Sam Sicilia until getting knocked out in the second round.
