Another twist in the world of MMA. On the night of Thursday the 15th, Bellator announced the addition of another middleweight to their roster. His name, Chael Sonnen.
The 39-year-old former UFC athlete had been suspended for two years following a failed drug test. The suspension prompted him to announce his retirement — until just now, that is, when he was poached by the UFC’s main rival organization.
Fighters like Tito Ortiz and Wanderlei Silva have been mentioned as potential opponents for Sonnen’s comeback, but as of yet we don’t have so much as a date announced.
