Here comes a new team in Jiu-Jitsu , led by two world champions .
After announcing his departure from Checkmat on Wednesday, Professor Rodrigo Cavaca officiated, Monday, that he has partnered with friend Robert Drysdale .
Robert Drysdale (gold black belt in 2005 ) and Cavaca ( world champion black belt in 2010 ) have not released the name or the shield of the new team, which should be done later this week, according to what GRACIEMAG gathered.
” Today I officially disclose the partnership with my brother Robert Drysdale . We didn’t do it before as he was still informing his affiliates. We are starting a grandiose project, with many schools across Brazil, USA, Europe and Oceania. During the week we will define the name and logo of our team,”says Cavaca .
Rodrigo Cavaca, who is the professor of the current absolute world champion, Marcus Buchecha, since the white belt, also informs about the whereabouts of his talented student.
“We sensibly came to a consensus that he should stay in Checkmat, because the best training he has is in California, with Lucas Leite, João Assis, Marcelo Lapela, who are also his best friends. When I informed Buchecha of my decision to leave, he encouraged me and said he felt it would be best for me. I was happy! Once again he and I decided everything in the best way possible, always understanding,” explains the professor .
“And I can be on any team, holding another flag, but he will always be my student, my big son, my good friend, as he told me,” concludes Cavaca .
