A pupil of Grandmaster Carlson Gracie and a Pride FC veteran, last weekend Paulão Filho made his return to mixed martial arts.
At 39, having behind him controversy and personal problems that caused him to withdraw from the sport, he entered the cage for Wawan MMA in Kuwait.
Fighting for the organization’s heavyweight belt, Paulão faced Egypt’s Mohamed Ashraf. Paulão notched a reasonably safe win with a choke. You can watch him here:
