The Cain Velasquez vs. Junior dos Santos heavyweight title fight now has a date and venue.
UFC President Dana White told reporters in Las Vegas on Monday that Velasquez and dos Santos will headline UFC 166 on Oct. 19 at Houston’s Toyota Center.
The main event will be the third fight between the two heavyweights, each of whom has earned a win over the other in the first two meetings.
Velasquez most recently defeated dos Santos at UFC 155, a bout that was dominated by the current champion. In their first meeting, dos Santos took only 64 seconds to knock out Velasquez to earn the heavyweight belt.
No other fights have been announced for UFC 166 at this time, but stay tuned to GRACIEMAG.com for updates as more information becomes available.
