Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza has been pulled from his scheduled main card bout with Uriah Hall at UFC 249 this Saturday following a positive test for the novel Coronavirus.
According to a statement from ESPN, the fighter reported a positive case from a family member to UFC officials before being tested himself. While asymptotic, his test came back positive and his fight was canceled.
As of the writing of this article, no other fighters have tested positive and the event is to go forward as planned. No word yet on possible replacements for Hall or if any efforts to salvage a fight are being made.
