A boxing match between Floyd “Money” Mayweather and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor is now official.
Sources close to Mayweather confirmed that he has officially signed the contract to come out of retirement to fight McGregor.
McGregor was first to sign the contract a short while back but has been on the sidelines waiting for Mayweather to finish his end of the deal.
Mayweather Promotions has already requested the date of August 26th to make the fight happen. The fight is likely to be held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
This will be McGregor’s professional boxing debut. This will also be the 50th professional boxing bout for Mayweather.
If (or most would say, when) Mayweather wins this fight it will improve his record to 50-0 moving him past Rocky Marciano for having the greatest unblemished boxing record of all time.
Mayweather and McGregor just signed contract. Fight is on.
