Two black belts will see action this Friday. Hermes França has an MMA fight coming up at the IFC in Recife, Brazil. And our GMA Jorge Britto will show off his grappling technique at the Grapplers Quest tournament to take place at the UFC Fan Expo in Toronto, Canada.
Hermes, a former champion of the WEC, faces Thawa Ril in Brazil. Britto faces Ryan Hall (Brasa), and should he win, he’ll face the winner of the fight between UFC fighter and black belt Diego Sanchez and Canada’s Andrew McInnes. Another fight tapped for the UFC Fan Expo are Fabio Holanda vs. Nolan Dutcher.
Now Hermes and Britto have faced off in the past, in the final of the 2009 No-Gi World Championship. Take a look back at how that bout went, and expect plenty more excitement this Friday.
