Multiple-time IBJJF World Champion Bruno Malfacine has signed with the MMA promotion Brave Combat Federation.
Malfacine has signed a three-fight deal with Brave and will make his debut at Brave 11, set to go down on April 13 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. His opponent has not been announced yet.
Bruno told MMA Fighting:
After a few weeks of negotiation, we have come to an agreement and the contract was signed. I’m really happy because it’s a very important step in this new career as a MMA fighter. I have a great team by my side and they are giving me all the tools that I need so my career in MMA is as successful as my career in jiu-jitsu, and I have no doubts that we’re going in the right direction.
My idea is to fight three times this year, and Brave has promised me that if I’m healthy, they will give me this opportunity. My debut will be on April 13 in Belo Horizonte, and I can’t wait to fight in my country one more time.
This is not IBJJF Champion’s first foray into mixed martial arts. Last year, he Malfacine earned himself a 94-second submission victory at Shooto Brazil 74.
