Brazilian promotion BJJ Stars has announced another exciting match for their upcoming event in April.
A match between Ffion Davies and Bianca Basilio has been scheduled for the event, revealed in a video shared by both Davies and BJJ Stars that showed Davies signing her contract.
p.s hadn’t brushed my hair yetThe matchup is huge, especially in the wake of last year’s ADCC finals. Davies got a massive win over Bia Mesquita in a match that left Mesquita’s arm injured, and then, she went on to face Basilio in the finals. Basilio ultimately submitted Davies with a toe hold that left the Welsh grappler with a significant injury as well. Basilio claimed the -60kg title, and thankfully, Davies was soon back on the mats and winning matches.
Understandably, fans have been hoping for a rematch between two of the best grapplers in the world, and they’ll now be getting what they wished for at BJJ Stars. You can watch Davies vs. Basilio and many other exciting matches when BJJ Stars streams live from Sao Paulo on April 25 of this year.
