Carlson Gracie Jr. teaches here, alongside Mauro Ayres, his father’s favorite guard-passing position. Jr. explains that, nowadays, the toreando guard pass is often used on top. Carlson used to use differently, however, as he kept his opponent’s leg flush and used his body weight to pass, often ending up on the back with a clock choke ready to go.
