Beneil Dariush and Islam Makhachev will headline a UFC Fight Night for 5 rounds in a lightweight bout on February 26.
The news comes from ESPN’s Brett Okamoto.
Both fighters are represented by manager Ali Abdelaziz, who weighed in on the announcement, ““These two have worked their whole lives to become a champion and this is a No. 1 contender match. Khabib actually said 1.5 years ago these two would fight for No. 1 contender. He knew before we all did.”
Darius boasts a 7-fight win streak while Makhachev looks to improve his 9-fight win streak.
