Slated to fight Julia Budd this Friday night at Bellator 202, featherweight Talita Treta once won an absolute title in BJJ.
It happened at the CBJJ’s Brazilian Championship held in São Paulo in 2014. After shining in the ultra-heavy division, Talita, representing Ryan Gracie at the time, took on Mackenzie Dern (Gracie Humaitá) in the open division’s final.
Nowadays a rising star in the UFC, Mackenzie had won the light featherweight division that year, but the absolute final brought an inspired Talita, whose better action gave her a win on points. Watch it here:
