Belal Muhammad Shares Update On Eye Poke Injury, Says Eye Isn’t Permanently Damaged

Last night at UFC Vegas 21, the main event between Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad came to an abrupt and unfortunate end early in the second round when an accidental eye poke from Edwards left Muhammad unable to continue. Referee Herb Dean ruled the fight a no-contest, and both fighters were devastated with how their highly anticipated fight ended.

A huge concern for Muhammad, his team, and UFC fans was to what extent his eye had been damaged from the poke, and now, the fighter has released his first statement since the fight, revealing a bit of good news about his aching eye:

“My heart is shattered my first main event ended like that but Gods the best of planners im sorry to the fans and the @ufc you deserved a full fight.. Alhamdillah the vision is coming back and no permanent damage to the eye I’ll be back and want to run it back”

Hopefully, Muhammad will have a quick road to recovery and get back in the octagon soon.
